About us

Hi everyone! Welcome to my website. I am delighted to meet you here and if we are meeting for the first time its not a coincidence, we are meant to meet and I am very happy to meet you. My name is Silverline Odigwe from the Ukwuani speaking tribe in Delta State of Nigeria. I am a teacher, a writer and a blogger. I love reading, making research, observing and bringing enlightenment to other people from my acquired lore of knowledge which you will find edifying. I have written many books with one of them, a thriller book titled, 'Power Tussle'published by Author House in Britain. This book can be found online on many sites like Amazon and others in many languages. I was motivated to create this site because of the difficulties I encountered in speaking it and the zeal to help my fellow Ukwuani people and others interested in learning the language to have access to it. This was an opportunity I never had and felt many people out there who have not been able to learn the language due to one reason or the other to have the opportunity to do so now. It happened that I grew up in the city travelling from one place to the other with my parents, due to the nature of their work and so did not have the opportunity to interact much with fellow Ukwuani people. This made me unable to speak the language. I could understand the little my parents spoke at home but that was all. I found myself a stranger to my own language. When I came back home, I could not interact properly with others due to language barrier. I was like an outcast, a fish out of water and this did not go down well with me. I felt embarrassed each time I attended a meeting and was expected to speak in public. I usually start off with Ukwuani and will then dive straight ahead into complete English with apologies that I am unable to speak the language effectively. I felt it was abnormal and decided to write and create this website to help others like me. Many of our people within the country and in diaspora are facing same problem and so I believe this will go a long way in helping them achieve their dialectical goals. And If anyone needs a private tutoring a better understanding of the language online, he/she can contact me and the arrangement will be done. So my friends I am glad you found my site. Have a wonderful time learning the Ukwuani language. See you at the top!
